Celebrating our 8th anniversary

We went to a bed & breakfast in Port Angeles to celebrate our last anniversary before the baby arrives. The next day, we drove the long way home and explored the Olympic Peninsula. This photo was taken off Ruby Beach.

Baby room, part III

Done! Well, almost. We finished painting and removed the old carpet. It revealed that the hardwood floors were painted peach. Yes, peach. Connie hates it.

So, we are thinking of getting them refinished, but using do the water-based kind... it's less toxic.

We also did work in other parts of the house (we've painted over all the wood paneling) and got a new fridge (thanks to Mom and Dad).

Baby's room, part II

After several green tints, we finally settled on one color. In these photos, the neighbor's bright turquoise house added a "different" shade to the room.

Man, it's a ton of work. We added primer, and need to buy the green paint we want for the baby's room. After that, we're ripping out the last of the ugly, shag carpet. We're also working on the stairs.
