The four day meeting at the Cow Palace ended with a tribute to the Eisenhower-Nixon team so loud it actually hurt the ears. Aug. 24 Last cable car runs on Washington-Jackson line in Pacific Heights: "I don't know who's responsible for taking the cable cars off this line," one Pacific Heights matron said. "But I'm going to find out. And I'm going to vote against him in the next election." Sept. 2 The new No. 38 Geary bus line which last night replaced the "B" and "C" streetcars on Geary St., will provide patrons with faster and more convenient service, Charles D.
